Currency Code and Multi-Currency Support

The Payiano API is built to help business owners in different countries easily handle payments. Whether you're using Payiano's own payment system or accepting payments directly through credit cards, the API can handle a variety of currencies. The kind of currency you can use depends on how you choose to get paid – some methods might support more currencies than others. It's all about giving you flexible options to make sure you can do business smoothly, no matter where your customers are or how they prefer to pay.

The flexibility in currency options that Payiano offers is integral to facilitating smooth international transactions. By providing support for multiple currencies, Payiano ensures that business owners can expand their operations across borders without the hassle of currency conversion barriers. This capability not only simplifies the transaction process but also enhances customer satisfaction by allowing them to pay in their local currency.

Payiano provides a currency conversion rate to manage transactions involving different currencies. For example, if a business owner invoices a customer for 1,000 Egyptian Pounds (EGP) but the customer wants to pay using PayPal in US Dollars (USD), the conversion rate will determine how much USD is equivalent to 1,000 EGP. If the conversion rate is such that 50 EGP equals 1 USD, the customer would be charged approximately 20 USD.

Note that we charge a 2% fee per currency conversion.

Below is a detailed table listing the currencies that the Payiano APIs support. The currencies are identified by their three-letter ISO currency codes, presented in uppercase:
